SIMOSEは、「多島美のような風景をつくりだす建築群」をコンセプトに、美術館とヴィラそしてレストランを瀬戸内海に面した魅力的なランドスケープの中にちりばめた新しいタイプの施設である。瀬戸内海に浮かぶ島々をイメージした色あざやかに光る水盤上の８色の可動展示室（水に浮かせて移動が可能）が水面およびエントランスと企画展示棟のハーフミラーの外壁に映り幻想的な風景をつくりだしている。

Based on the concept of “A group of buildings that create a landscape like the beauty of many islands”  Simose is a new type of facility with a museum, multiple villas and a restaurant scattered across a charming landscape facing the Seto Inland Sea. Inspired by the islands of the Seto Inland Sea, eight moveable galleries floating over a water basin (the galleries can be moved by floating them along the water) and vividly illuminated in different colors are reflected both on the water’s surface and on the half-mirrored exteriors of the entrance and the exhibition hall—creating a magical scene.
